Fraser Valley Recreation Center - Fraser, CO 2023

After winning the second place prize at the Fraser Mountain Mural Festival during the summer, I was commissioned by the Fraser Public Art Committee to come back up in the winter and paint this piece inside the rec center. The committee was looking for a homage to the area with some of my typical big, billowing clouds. We decided on painting Parry peak, a prominent mountain at the head of the valley with a very distinctive and recognizable feature. The mountain looks like it has been swiped by sharp claws which locals refer to as Bear Claw Mountain. I decided on rounding out the piece with some Colorado Columbines framing out the foreground.
